The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has instructed its members and aspirants involved in the party’s reorganisation exercise to adhere to newly imposed limits on the size and placement of campaign posters and banners. The directive, issued on Friday, October 9, gives those affected five days to adjust their displays.
The party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC) has capped poster and banner dimensions at five feet wide by eight feet high. It warned that any wilful disregard of the rule would trigger disciplinary action.
In a statement signed by General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC said it had noticed that some members and aspirants had mounted oversized campaign posters and banners at various locations across the country. The directive follows deliberations at an FEC meeting held on Tuesday, October 6, where members discussed the need to maintain order and discipline during the reorganisation.

The restrictions are intended to ensure a level playing field for all aspirants competing for positions within the party and to keep campaign publicity materials confined to designated locations such as constituency offices, regional offices and election grounds. The party also cited the need to demonstrate modesty and restraint as the governing organisation.
“FEC is further conscious that, as the party in government, the NDC must lead by example through modesty and restraint and must avoid any display of extravagance or perception of it that is inconsistent with the values we espouse and the expectations of the Ghanaian people,” the statement added.
Members and aspirants are expected to remove or resize any posters or banners that exceed the new limits and to relocate them to approved sites within the five‑day window.
