Morocco have cancelled the international friendly that was to be played on October 4 in Tangier against Ghana. The fixture was intended to give the Black Stars a chance to regroup after their disappointing start to the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, but the Moroccan Football Federation has now withdrawn the match without giving an official reason.
The decision follows a string of defeats for Ghana, including losses to Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia in their opening Group C fixtures. The team also had a friendly against Tanzania scheduled, but that game was cancelled after the two federations could not reach a final agreement.
With the Tangier match off the table, the Black Stars will need to find alternative opposition as coach Carlos Queiroz prepares his squad for the next round of AFCON qualifiers in November.
