Empowerment Worship Centre Reaches 13,000 in Dansoman LifeCheck 2026

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Empowerment Worship Centre and its outreach arm, the Empowerment Care Foundation, staged the LifeCheck 2026 event at KariKari Park in Dansoman under the theme “LOVE BEYOND WORDS.” The initiative aimed to provide holistic support across healthcare, education, nutrition and social welfare to residents of Dansoman, Mamprobi, Chorkor, Lartebiokoshie and surrounding areas.

Prophet Gideon Danso, Global Lead Pastor of the church, told reporters that faith must be shown through tangible acts of kindness. “Christianity is about extending love to others. Our faith must be demonstrated through acts of kindness and service. LIFECHECK is our commitment to be the church beyond the walls. Today, we brought the hospital and the classroom to KariKari Park,” he said. He added, “The foundation of the church is about civilisation—bringing people out of darkness. We believe that by addressing real needs—fixing teeth, providing health insurance, and equipping children for school—that is Love Beyond Words.”

The event reached more than 13,000 people, distributing over 5,500 school bags, 2,000 pairs of footwear, 12,000 exercise books and 10,000 essential products to students and families. It also supplied 4,500 food packs, 313 free haircuts through a partnership with Sigs Barbering Salon and attended to 1,200 medical, dental and eye‑care cases, including nine life‑changing surgeries, 159 Hepatitis B vaccinations, 67 units of donated blood for the National Blood Bank and GHS 300,000 worth of free medication.

LifeCheck 2026 registered 1,617 individuals for the National Health Insurance Scheme, boosting their access to ongoing care. Over 800 volunteers powered the day’s activities, while corporate partners such as Pepsodent, Indomie, GB Foods, Gino, Vitamilk, Nestlé Ghana and several pharmaceutical companies supplied supplies and expertise. The Ghana Ambulance Service, The Chosen Hospital, Olive Medical Centre, Pentecost Hospital, National Blood Bank and other local businesses also contributed.

Media outlets including Metro TV, GTV, Joynews TV, Adom TV, Onua TV, Starr FM and Channel One TV covered the event, amplifying the church’s message of community upliftment. The Ghana Dental Association provided dental expertise, and volunteer doctors and nurses from across the country supported the health outreach.

LifeCheck 2026 exemplifies the church’s mission to empower lives spiritually, physically and socially, extending its reach beyond the church walls into the heart of Dansoman and its environs.
