Kofi Sarfo Assiamah’s Funeral to Take Place at Denkyira Dominase Oct. 31

The late former teacher, GAF veteran and former consumer credit director will be laid to rest after a brief illness, with senior political figures slated to attend.

The late Kofi Sarfo Assiamah, father of former Transport Minister Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, will be buried at Denkyira Dominase in the Central Region on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

Mr Sarfo Assiamah died on October 27, 2025, following a short illness.

Funeral rites will run from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1, with the main observance scheduled for Denkyira Dominase. A private burial service will be held on Saturday, followed by the final funeral rites, and the ceremony will conclude with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday.

He was a former teacher and Ghana Armed Forces personnel before working with the then Social Security Bank, now Societe Generale Ghana, where he served as a marketing officer and later as Director of the Consumer Credit Department.

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor, former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo‑Addo, former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and other political, traditional and business leaders are expected to attend.
