Mobile Money Fintech Ltd (MMF) CEO Shaibu Haruna praised Ghanaian musician Kofi Kinaata for the depth and uniqueness of his songwriting during a visit to the company’s office on Tuesday, September 29. Haruna highlighted Kinaata’s distinctive way of structuring lines, calling the messages in his music “very deep” and “powerful.”
Haruna said he had long paid attention to Kinaata’s messaging, noting that the artist’s work has evolved from pure entertainment to include seminars that provide learning and networking opportunities for fans. Kinaata explained that these seminars have led to tangible outcomes, with participants sharing testimonies of new connections and opportunities.

While acknowledging the impact, Kinaata also mentioned limited support as a challenge for expanding his initiatives. He expressed optimism that a collaboration with MMF could amplify both parties’ reach, aligning with the fintech’s strategy to offer more than basic mobile money services.

MMF has already broadened its platform to include savings, loans, investment products and lifestyle services such as event ticketing, partnering with banks and finance houses. Haruna noted that leveraging the influence of creatives like Kinaata could help connect these services to a wider audience, especially Ghanaians who trust the artist’s messages.
The proposed partnership could enable MMF to use Kinaata’s music and influence to promote its expanded suite of financial and lifestyle services, while providing the musician with greater support for his community‑impact initiatives.
