The outage currently affects customers in Kpong, Nuaso, Odumase, Kojonya, Agormanya, Bana Hill, Atua, and Kpongwura, as well as Asitey, Krobo Girls, Mt Mary College of Education, Sawer, Akutunya, Asinesi, Kormetsi, Makrosec, Yikrosec, Lassi and Adorme.

Lower Manya Municipal Assembly, Adjikpo and surrounding areas are also experiencing the interruption. ECG clarified that the outage is not part of a scheduled maintenance but the result of an unforeseen fault within its network.

In a statement, ECG said, "The Electricity Company of Ghana, Tema Region, wishes to inform our cherished customers and the general public in the underlisted areas that the outage being experienced is as a result of a fault in our network." The company added that its engineers are actively working to identify and rectify the fault to restore power.

ECG apologized for the inconvenience caused, noting, "ECG regrets the inconvenience caused to the affected customers." No specific timeline for restoration was provided, but the company assured that efforts are ongoing.
