In Asante Mampong, Dr Mike Amofa Dankwah, former NDC MP and current education advocate, handed out essential school items to students ready to enter Senior High School. The package included chop boxes, storage trunks, mattresses, school sandals and other academic materials. The initiative aimed to reduce the financial burden on parents and help students transition smoothly into secondary education.
Organisers said the support was carefully assembled to ensure beneficiaries had the basic items needed for the next phase of their academic journey. The distribution took place alongside Mampong constituency NDC Chairman Mohammed Kamil, who highlighted the joint commitment to grassroots development and community empowerment.
Parents and beneficiaries praised the gesture, describing it as timely and helpful. They said the items would lessen the financial pressure of preparing their children for Senior High School and give students greater confidence as they begin their studies.
