Citi 97.3 FM was presented with the Media Reportage Award at the 8th SME Ghana Awards on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The accolade, handed out by SME GrowAfrica LBG (SMEGA), recognises media organisations that have significantly promoted and developed small and medium‑size enterprises through impactful reporting, advocacy and public engagement.
In its citation, the organisers highlighted Citi FM’s sustained business reporting and programming, which has brought to light the hurdles faced by SMEs, offered practical insights and created platforms for entrepreneurs, business leaders and policymakers to discuss sector‑specific issues.

The award also praised the station’s role in deepening public understanding of how SMEs support livelihoods, communities and Ghana’s broader economic development. Citi FM’s flagship Citi Business Festival was singled out as a key platform that has broadened access to knowledge on entrepreneurship, finance, innovation and leadership, and has enabled business owners to learn, exchange experiences and identify growth opportunities.
“Your reporting informs the nation, amplifies enterprise and inspires progress,” the citation read.

SME Ghana Awards, organised by SME GrowAfrica in partnership with the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, aim to recognise entities that contribute to Ghana’s economic development. The 2025 awards celebrated the theme “Sustaining Ghana’s SMEs in a Globally Competitive Market.”
Following the award, Citi FM reaffirmed its commitment to expanding SME coverage through dedicated programming and platforms that give entrepreneurs greater visibility and access to relevant business information.
