The visit was a courtesy call arranged by Commissioner‑General Anthony Kwasi Sarpong to formally introduce the company’s leadership and discuss ways to enhance tax compliance and corporate citizenship.

The delegation also included West Africa Director Murat Captug and Finance Manager Oguz Cimen. Discussions centred on building a robust channel for engagement between Aksa Energy and the GRA, ensuring adherence to Ghana’s tax laws and fostering a transparent, cooperative tax environment.

Commissioner‑General Sarpong praised the visit, underscoring the importance of sustained dialogue with taxpayers to support businesses in meeting statutory obligations. He reiterated the Authority’s commitment to stakeholder engagement and to helping companies operate effectively while complying with tax requirements.

The meeting also featured Technical Advisor Ms Elsie Appau‑Klu Esq., reflecting the GRA’s broader effort to deepen relationships with taxpayers and improve domestic revenue mobilisation.

Aksa Energy, a global power generation firm under Kazancı Holding, operates major facilities in Ghana, including the Tema HFO and Natural Gas Power Plant and the Kumasi Anwomaso project.
