In a High Court filing on October 10, 2026, actor Van Vicker has demanded GH¢10 million in damages from comedian and actor Lil Win, whose real name is Kwadwo Nkansah. The suit follows a video that appeared on TikTok and Facebook on August 13, 2026, titled “LIL WIN BANS VAN VICKER FROM ACTING IN KUMASI!”.

Van Vicker argues that the headline and accompanying remarks, which included claims that he had “lied again against me” and failed to fulfil his duties, exposed him to public ridicule and damaged his reputation as a professional in both English‑language and Kumawood productions. He says the comments have led to calls from fellow actors, producers and directors seeking explanations, and that potential film projects in Kumasi have become uncertain.

The court documents state that the controversy has already affected Van Vicker’s work prospects, with producers questioning his availability and the actor cancelling planned business trips to the Ashanti region. He also alleges that Lil Win threatened to exclude him from the upcoming film “Journey to Africa” if he did not address the concerns raised.

Van Vicker seeks a declaration that the statements are defamatory and libellous, an award of exemplary damages, general damages for libel, legal costs, and a public retraction and apology published with the same prominence as the original video for four consecutive weeks. The suit was filed by lawyer Ebenezer Asare of Troth Legal, Accra.

Lil Win is required to appear in court within eight days of service of the writ, or a judgment may be entered in his absence. The allegations remain unproven, and the case is pending adjudication.
