American third seed Sydney Wright emerged victorious in the girls’ singles final of the ITF J100 Accra, defeating Poland’s top seed Alisha Ndukwu 6‑3, 4‑6, 7‑6(4) on Saturday, 3 October.
Wright had secured her place in the title decider by beating second seed Milana Kolesova of Russia 6‑3, 6‑0 in straight sets, while Ndukwu advanced to the final after a hard‑fought three‑set semi‑final against recent J60 champion Peppa Fennis, winning 6‑2, 1‑6, 6‑0.
The championship match, held at the Accra Sports Stadium National Tennis Centre, lasted three hours and 40 minutes. Both players displayed remarkable stamina and determination before Wright sealed the win with a decisive final‑set tiebreak.
Organised in partnership with Tennis Foundation Ghana and the Ghana Tennis Federation, the ninth edition of the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors ran from 28 September to 10 October 2026.
Wright’s victory officially crowns her the J100 Accra Girls’ Singles champion, adding a significant title to her junior career.
