The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) in the Bono Region lauded the workmanship on the Sunyani‑Inner Ring Road Project, a 9.2‑kilometre stretch funded under the government’s “Big Push” Road Infrastructure programme.

Public Relations Officer Mr Gabriel Kwame Okyere said the new asphalted road, completed by Kofi Job Constructions Limited, has opened the Sunyani Municipality to economic growth, with small‑scale businesses sprouting along the route.

However, Mr Okyere cautioned tricycle riders about the temptation to speed on the freshly paved surface. “Our major concern now is how tricycle riders are speeding on the road since it was asphalted,” he told the Ghana News Agency. He added that the office continues to receive complaints of recklessness by tricycle riders using portions of the road.

Site engineer Mr Kofi Kamkam of Kofi Job Constructions confirmed that 2.5 kilometres of the road had already been asphalted for use and assured that the project would finish within the two‑year stipulated period.

As the project nears completion, the NRSA urges motorists to exercise caution and adhere to speed limits to ensure the safety benefits of the new infrastructure are fully realised.
