Smully Wear Unveils ‘Big Stepper’ Collection at Paris Fashion Week

Ghanaian fashion house Smully Wear launched its 2026/2027 collection, dubbed ‘Big Stepper’, during Paris Fashion Week from September 28 to October 6, 2026. The line showcases bold colours, contrasting blocks such as lemon green, and strong silhouettes designed to make wearers stand out rather than blend in.

Founder Joseph Aggrey Cobbina said the collection is for people who walk into a room with confidence, purpose and style, turning their appearance into a statement. He added that 12 years of industry experience revealed a gap between people’s confidence and the outfits they wear, and that the new line seeks to bridge that gap.

Models from Canada, the United States, Spain, Ghana, Italy, France, Romania, Senegal and Cameroon walked the runway, underscoring Smully Wear’s ambition to expand its international reach and place Ghanaian fashion on the global stage. The brand has previously styled personalities such as American singer Jidenna, actor Boris Kodjoe and Ghanaian musicians Stonebwoy and Samini.

Smully Wear, founded in 2014, first made history in 2023 when it showcased its Good Vibes collection at Omaha Fashion Week in the United States. In 2024 the brand celebrated its tenth anniversary with the launch of ‘We Global (Steeze)’, and in December 2025 it presented designs at the Afro Brazil Ghana Festival in Accra.

Looking ahead, the brand plans to continue pushing Ghanaian fashion into the international arena, building on the momentum of the ‘Big Stepper’ collection.
