Sean "Diddy" Combs Transferred to Pennsylvania Low‑Security Prison

Sean "Diddy" Combs, the 56‑year‑old co‑founder of Bad Boy Records, has been transferred from the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, to the Federal Correctional Institution Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons said on Friday.

The move, which the bureau said was made with safety and security in mind, came after NBC News reported that Combs had accessed mobile phones, liquor and other contraband at Fort Dix, and that he had paid inmates to perform personal tasks for him. Union officials also cited his disruptive behaviour, including two fights, as a reason for the transfer.

Combs, who was sentenced to 50 months in 2025 for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, has asked an appeals court to overturn his conviction and release him. The transfer has also resulted in the loss of 41 days of good‑conduct time, pushing his scheduled release to 2 March 2028.

FCI Allenwood Low, located about 155 miles west of New York City, houses roughly 1,044 inmates, a smaller population than the 4,200‑strong Fort Dix campus. The facility also has nearby medium and maximum security institutions.

Combs’ spokesman, Juda S. Engelmayer, said the Bureau is "taking the safety and security of Sean and everyone involved seriously" and expressed hope that the rapper can continue serving his sentence without unnecessary disruption.

Federal prosecutors in New York have accused Combs of using his wealth and power to coerce women into unwanted sexual encounters. A 2024 jury trial found him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution, but acquitted him of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges.

While the Federal Bureau declined to comment further on the allegations, the transfer underscores the ongoing scrutiny of Combs’ conduct while incarcerated.
