Ghanaian rap superstar Sarkodie arrived at MobileMoney Fintech LTD’s head office in Accra with his management team, marking the first time the artist has visited the fintech firm. The meeting, held behind closed doors, was led by Chief Executive Officer Shaibu Haruna, who welcomed the group and outlined a potential strategic partnership between Ghana’s creative and fintech industries.

Haruna emphasized that MobileMoney’s reach in the mass market, coupled with the entertainment sector’s influence, creates a powerful platform for promoting digital financial services. He highlighted the company’s evolution from simple wallet transactions to a suite that includes savings, loans, investments and event ticketing, and noted that partnering with influential artistes could help educate the public on safe use of these services.
Sarkodie expressed interest in a long‑term collaboration that would span album releases, tours, brand and community initiatives. He proposed using his upcoming campus tour as a venue for MobileMoney to engage young people directly with its new MoMo App and financial products, aiming to blend entertainment with financial literacy.

After the discussion, Haruna gave Sarkodie a tour of the company’s operations, allowing the rapper to interact with staff and pose for selfies. The visit signals a growing synergy between fintech and entertainment in reaching youth and underserved communities in Ghana.
