Dr Sammy Ayeh, the Governance Spokesperson at the Presidency, has filed nomination forms to contest the Deputy National Communications Officer position within the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a statement, Ayeh said he is eager to help the party articulate its vision more clearly and align its messaging with the aspirations of Ghanaians.

He thanked National Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi, calling him a mentor whose leadership and confidence have shaped Ayeh’s career and reinforced his commitment to the party.

“I am deeply grateful to Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, our able National Communications Officer, on whose shoulders I have risen. His exceptional leadership, mentorship and confidence in me have shaped my journey and strengthened my resolve to serve,” he said.

Ayeh outlined three priorities for the role: strengthening research‑driven communication, empowering grassroots communicators and enhancing strategic media engagement. He hopes to build on the existing foundation to improve how the NDC conveys its vision and connects with the public.

The spokesperson has urged party members and supporters to back his candidacy, adding, “I humbly ask for your support.”
