Ghanaian dancehall musician SaminI said he avoids X Spaces and TikTok Live sessions because they can expose him to disrespect and damage his carefully built brand. The artist made the comments during the launch of the Samini Xperience 2026, Dansoman Edition, on Friday, 16 October 2026, as he readies the signature concert for the festive season.

He noted that while new communication channels can be useful, not every trend is prudent. “There are always new ways of doing things and we always adapt but you see, not all those ways are prudent,” he said. SaminI recalled a pre‑social‑media era when fans had to attend concerts to see their favourite artists, and how the rise of online platforms has made it easier for people to comment on celebrities in ways they might not have in person.

According to the star, live formats such as Twitter Spaces and TikTok Live allow anyone “to say whatever they want to you,” and can lead to remarks that, if not handled carefully, could derail an artist and harm their hard‑built brand. He added that such interactions could provoke artists into responses that might ultimately damage their public image and professional reputation.

While he has not completely ruled out participating in X Spaces or TikTok Live, SaminI said he would only join if the engagement would contribute to his craft and serve a meaningful professional purpose. His team will assess potential engagements and select participants who can add value to discussions and projects.

Fans can expect the Samini Xperience 2026 to continue showcasing the artist’s signature sound while maintaining the high standards of professionalism that have defined his career.
