The Praise Achievement Awards (PAA) announced its nominees for the fifth edition on Sunday, 18 October 2026, at the African Regent Hotel in Accra. The event, themed “Honoring Greatness, Celebrating True Excellence,” brought together gospel music luminaries, pastors, producers, label executives, media practitioners and other stakeholders from Ghana’s gospel scene and beyond.
Nominees were revealed across 45 categories, ranging from Best Traditional Christian Music to International Event/Act of the Year. The list includes artistes, vocalists, songs, albums, music videos, events, broadcasters, media platforms, producers, instrumentalists, groups and other contributors to the gospel music ecosystem.
Public Relations Officer Precious Mawunya‑ko highlighted the milestone, noting that “five editions of the Praise Achievement Awards represent half a decade of God’s faithfulness and a testament to the immense growth of gospel music across Ghana, Africa and the global diaspora.” He added that the nomination list reflects a rigorous evaluation process, honouring veteran trailblazers and the vibrant new wave of gospel ministers.
The unveiling sets the stage for the next phase of the awards. Nominees, fans, industry stakeholders and the wider public are invited to follow official PAA channels for updates on voting, academy membership and the main awards ceremony scheduled for Sunday, 13 December 2026.
Petitions regarding the nominee list will be accepted from 19 to 23 October 2026. Submissions must be emailed to praiseachievementawards@gmail.com and should identify the category and nominee concerned with supporting information. Petitions received after the deadline may not be considered.
With the fifth edition, the PAA continues to spotlight the people, music and platforms that contribute to the growth of gospel music in Ghana, across Africa and within the diaspora.
