Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, made headlines after claiming that men who are unwilling to sacrifice for their partners, even to the point of death, are “fools.”
Speaking on the recent episode of the In Motion Podcast, the artist explained that his Christian faith compels him to love his wife as Jesus loves the Church, and that Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice was his death.
“Any man who can’t die for his woman is foolish. I am a Christian, and Jesus Christ said we should love our wife like Christ loves the Church. And what did Christ do for the Church? He died for the Church,” Odumodublvck said.
The rapper added that he believes he would die before his younger wife, so that she could manage his estate for their children and preserve his legacy.
He also addressed the backlash, saying, “The biggest misconception about me is that I am a misogynist. It bothers me a lot because it is such an unfair thing to say. I am willing to die for my girlfriend; does that seem like what a misogynist would do?”
Odumodublvck’s comments have sparked debate online, with some praising his commitment to his partner and others questioning the implications of his statements.
Fans and critics alike are watching to see how the rapper will respond to the controversy and whether his message will influence public discourse on relationships and gender roles.
