NYA CEO Praises Big Push: Jobs Created Across Ghanaian Constituencies

Osman Ayariga, the chief executive officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), highlighted the impact of President John Dramani Mahama’s Big Push infrastructure programme during a speech at the National Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) Conference held at the University of Education, Winneba.

He noted that projects under the programme were creating jobs and offering opportunities for Ghanaians across various constituencies, including the Minority Leader’s area. “The Big Push is pushing everywhere. From my house to this constituency. This is the Minority Leader’s constituency and Big Push is pushing everywhere and all these projects are creating jobs,” Ayariga said.

Mr Ayariga urged National Democratic Congress members to recognise and defend the government’s policies, stressing that the scale of infrastructure development should inspire party supporters. He called on young people to position themselves to benefit from the employment opportunities generated by the government’s investments and other interventions aimed at improving livelihoods.

As the programme continues, the NYA is expected to play a key role in monitoring job creation and ensuring that more young Ghanaians gain access to the benefits of the Big Push.
