NPP Conference: NDC Delegation Leaves Kumasi Meeting Early

Former Lawra Member of Parliament Anthony Karbo said he was disappointed when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegation abandoned the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Delegates Conference in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, before the programme had started.

Karbo, who had been appointed master of ceremonies, reported that the NDC representatives had left the event citing delays in the start of the conference and a lack of patience to wait for the solidarity message to be delivered.

He noted that the NDC delegation had informed the organisers of their departure and had given a press interview in which they claimed they could not wait any longer to deliver their solidarity message. “We thank them for even making the attempt, but we never expected them to show up,” Karbo said.

Karbo added that while the NPP appreciated the invitation being accepted, it was unfortunate that the NDC representatives did not stay for the programme. He thanked them for accepting the invitation, but lamented that they did not have the patience to sit through the event.
