The National Democratic Congress (NDC) held its constituency executive elections in the Greater Accra Region’s Bortianor‑Ngleshie Amanfro constituency, with a record turnout of delegates and party supporters gathering at the Astroturf in Tuba early this morning.

Officials from the Electoral Commission (EC) oversaw the voting, while the party’s election committee coordinated and monitored the process to ensure a smooth and transparent exercise. A wide range of positions—Chairman, Vice‑Chairman, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Treasurer, Organiser, Deputy Organiser, Communications Officer, Women’s Organiser, Deputy Women’s Organiser, Youth Organiser, Deputy Youth Organiser and Zongo Caucus Coordinator—were contested by several aspirants.

The atmosphere at the venue remained calm and orderly, with security personnel on hand to maintain law and order. Delegates who spoke to reporters praised the conduct of the polls, describing the process as peaceful and transparent. They said the high turnout reflected members’ enthusiasm to elect competent leaders who will strengthen the party at the grassroots level ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Party officials in the constituency urged all aspirants and their supporters to accept the outcome in good faith and to work together to advance the NDC’s interests in Bortianor‑Ngleshie Amanfro. Counting of ballots is expected to begin immediately after voting ends, with winners to be declared by the Electoral Commission officials.
