Nana Akomea has emerged as the frontrunner in the New Patriotic Party’s race for First Vice Chairman, according to a recent poll by Global InfoAnalytics.

Poll Results

The survey gave Akomea a net favourability score of 68%, two points ahead of Dr Mustapha Abdul‑Hamid who scored 66%. Nana Boakye followed with 62%, while Richard Ahiagbah received 46%. Alhaji Osman Masawudu‑Bugga and Abena Pokuaa Boatey closed the list with 45% and 41% respectively.

Campaign Timing

Akomea entered the contest later than some rivals, yet his high rating suggests he has already built significant goodwill among respondents.

Next Steps

The poll comes before the NPP’s national executive elections on October 3, when delegates will choose the party’s leadership structure.
