MobileMoney Fintech LTD Engages 500 Customers in Cashless Conversation

MobileMoney Fintech LTD, Ghana’s first digital payments platform and a subsidiary of MTN Ghana, held a customer engagement forum titled “MMFL Cashless Conversation” at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly auditorium on October 18, 2026. The event drew more than 500 participants, mainly from the informal sector, including market women, traders, artisans, drivers and small‑ and medium‑scale business owners.

Management members served as resource persons, creating a rare open platform for direct dialogue between the company’s customers and agents. Attendees shared their experiences, raised concerns and proposed ideas to improve mobile money services. Key issues discussed were delayed transactions, network challenges, agent liquidity and the difficulty of reversing wrong transactions.

MobileMoney’s leadership responded by assuring customers that the company is continually investing in system upgrades and agent support to resolve these problems. The forum also focused on educating users about mobile money fraud prevention and detection. Participants were warned against sharing PINs, OTPs and other personal credentials and urged to remain vigilant against fear‑based or greed‑based scams.

Speakers from civil society organisations praised MobileMoney for bringing financial education to the grassroots and called for sustained collaboration to protect vulnerable users. Attendees described the session as timely and eye‑opening, noting that the fraud‑prevention education alone was worth attending, and urged that similar forums be replicated nationwide.

The Cashless Conversation is expected to become a regular engagement platform to bridge the gap between the company and its customers while promoting responsible use of digital financial services.
