Mary Nyamekye Asamoah, chief executive officer of Spotless Travel and Tours and Spotless Aviation and Professional Training Institute, was presented with an Africa Travel 100 Tour Operators Award at the 2026 edition of the Akwaaba Travel Market in Nigeria. The ceremony, part of the 22nd Akwaaba Travel Market, celebrated tourism professionals from across Africa for their contributions to the continent’s travel and tourism industry.
Asamoah’s career began as a cabin crew member with Starbow Airline, where she gained experience in aviation, hospitality and customer service. She later founded Spotless Travel and Tours, organising trips for individuals and groups across Africa and beyond, and expanded into professional training with the Spotless Aviation and Professional Training Institute. The institute uses an aircraft as a learning environment, providing practical training for young people aspiring to careers in aviation, hospitality and tourism.
Her work has created travel opportunities, promoted African destinations and equipped youth with the skills and confidence needed to pursue careers in the sector. Looking ahead, Asamoah hopes to establish and operate her own airline, building on her extensive experience in aviation, travel, tourism and education.
The Akwaaba Travel Market remains a key platform for industry professionals, destinations and businesses to forge partnerships and unlock opportunities within the African travel market. Asamoah’s award highlights her blend of business development, skills training and youth empowerment.
