Former Executive Director of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board, Kingsley Ofosu Ntiamoah, slammed the Mahama‑led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government on Channel One TV’s Breakfast Daily, accusing it of inconsistency and a lack of principle.

Mr Ntiamoah said the current administration is “very inconsistent, and very unprincipled people,” and that the party has grouped a certain category of people who do not align with its stated values. He highlighted the conduct of several ministers as evidence of this claim.

The former GMMB chief cited Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations Minister Samuel Nartey George’s response to journalists questioning him about illegal small‑scale mining, known locally as galamsey. Mr Ntiamoah called the minister’s reply “arrogant and dismissive,” arguing it contradicted earlier statements about protecting Ghana’s water bodies.

He further accused Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa of diverting attention from a GH¢16.4 million financial matter to the National Second Vice Chairman of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye, and of failing to address the allegations despite his role as chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative.

Mr Ntiamoah also criticised President John Dramani Mahama for appointing Emelia Affi Agbenyo as Deputy Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, saying the decision contradicted the president’s earlier stance on the use of discretionary powers.

“Is that how a cabinet minister behaves? You see, so this government is full of unprincipled people,” Mr Ntiamoah concluded, urging ministers to account for taxpayers’ money and to align their actions with their public commitments.

The remarks come amid growing scrutiny of the NDC’s leadership and its handling of environmental and financial controversies. Observers will watch how the government responds to these accusations and whether any policy changes follow.
