Jeremiah Koung, Vice President of Liberia, landed in Accra today to attend the Mining in Motion Summit 2026, a gathering of African leaders and industry stakeholders set to chart the continent’s mineral future.
He was received by Ghana’s Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah‑Kofi Buah, before the summit opens on October 19 and runs through October 21.
The three‑day event, themed “One Continent. One Voice on Minerals – Aligning Africa’s Mineral Future,” will convene ministers, industry representatives and continental institution officials to discuss cooperation and shared challenges in the mining sector.
Vice President Koung’s arrival precedes sessions that will seek ways to strengthen collaboration across African countries in developing their mineral resources.
The summit will be hosted at Destiny Arena and the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
