LemFi, the fintech platform that helps migrants move money to more than 30 countries, has unveiled a major expansion into the United Kingdom. The launch includes a brand‑new app, a 5% AER savings account for the first six months, a revolving credit line issued through FCA‑regulated Pillar, and eSIMs that work in over 100 markets.
The company’s CEO, Ridwan Olalere, said the move addresses a gap he saw after the transfer stage: “Our customers are building careers and businesses in one country while supporting people in another, and the financial system treats them as if they can only exist in one place at a time.” The new platform, called “Ambition has no passport”, is designed to let users manage transfers, savings, credit and mobile data from a single account.
Customers can open a UK Instant Access Savings Account with a minimum of £1, no withdrawal penalty and deposits held by ClearBank, protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme up to £120,000. The revolving credit line, available as a virtual card on Apple Pay and Google Pay, lets users spend or send money and view their Equifax credit score for free. eSIMs allow buyers to purchase data before arrival, avoiding roaming charges.

With more than two million users and $2 billion in monthly transaction volume, LemFi plans to add more countries next year. The re‑architected app now holds multiple products across several countries in a single account, making it easier to discover and expand services.
“Ambition has no passport is not a tagline; it’s the idea the whole system is built from,” said VP of Design and Brand Isabel Ron‑Pedrique. “We have built this brand to keep up with them.”
