Izzikart Launches Platform to Streamline Social Media Sales in Ghana

Accra‑based MIQ Innovations Ltd launched Izzikart today, a technology platform that consolidates sales generated through WhatsApp and other social media channels into a single system. The move comes as Ghanaian businesses increasingly rely on digital communication to promote products, yet still juggle orders, payments and deliveries through fragmented manual processes.

Izzikart lets customers browse products, place orders and receive updates directly on WhatsApp, while vendors use a dedicated web application and mobile app to manage catalogues, prices, inventory, orders, payments and promotions. Delivery coordination is also integrated, allowing businesses to assign riders, share dispatch information and track status in real time.

Founder Michael Kwame, a technology entrepreneur and marketer, said the platform is designed for vendors who already have a following on social media but lack a streamlined back‑end. “We’re not creating another marketplace; we’re giving existing social sellers the tools they need to run their operations efficiently,” he explained. The target users include food vendors, fashion retailers, cosmetics sellers and other SMEs that still handle much of their sales process manually.

Izzikart also plans to promote participating vendors’ products through its own social media channels, potentially opening an additional avenue for reach. The company is currently in its initial market‑onboarding phase, bringing vendors, riders, delivery agencies and strategic partners onto the platform. The Izzikart Vendor App and Rider App are available on the web and Google Play Store, with an iOS version slated for release on the Apple App Store.

With Ghana’s internet user base projected at 26.3 million by the end of 2025 and mobile money transactions reaching GH¢4.54 trillion in 2024, the platform taps into a growing digital economy. Izzikart’s ambition is to evolve into a commerce infrastructure provider for Ghana and, eventually, other African markets.
