Wealthy influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, also known as Denisi or Ego, died on March 6 after a cosmetic penis enlargement procedure went wrong while he was on vacation in Thailand.
The 43‑year‑old British‑Nigerian businessman was treated at an unnamed Thai clinic, where 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected into his penis, an inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court found.
While staying at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, Igho complained of chest pain and passed out twice after the injection. He was rushed by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was initially conscious but lost consciousness before a CT scan could be performed.
Doctors diagnosed a pulmonary embolism – a clot blocking a lung vessel – and transferred him to intensive care. Despite more than 100 minutes of CPR, he died early the next morning.
A post‑mortem in the UK revealed hyaluronic acid in his lungs, confirming the coroner’s ruling that the cosmetic procedure caused the fatal embolism.
Igho, who had 185,000 Instagram followers, owned a $1.1 million Los Angeles home and a $600,000 London apartment. He and Danielle, a fashion designer, married in a $473,000 ceremony in Zimbabwe in 2022.
He was buried in London in a gold coffin reportedly costing over $745,000. Mourners included Nigerian superstar Davido and Celebrity Barman Cubana Chief Priest.
British urology experts warn that hyaluronic acid fillers can cost up to $9,000 and may lead to serious complications.
