On October 15, 2026, Ho West Member of Parliament Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah began a three‑day constituency‑wide engagement to hand out 5,000 bags of 50‑kilogram NPK fertiliser to farmers. The initiative, part of his parliamentary recess activities, aimed to boost agricultural production and give constituents a forum to raise concerns.
Bedzrah, speaking to the Ghana News Agency, said the fertiliser support was intended to increase yields across the constituency. The MP’s team, joined by staff from the Education Directorate, teachers, assembly members and farmer groups, visited several communities over the three days.
During the first phase the team covered Bame, Kpale Xorse, Kpalega, Etordome, Hlefi, Wadaxame, Anfoeta Gbogame, Anfoeta Tsebi and Saviefe Gborgame. The second phase took them to the Abutia enclave, engaging residents of Dzoawokpe, Sebekorfe, Mawudekako, Sonume, Woeme, Kpota, Adegblevi, Dakekorfe and Andokofe. The final phase reached Dededo, Tsiamikorfe, Borkorvikorfe, Sekekorfe, Anyirawase, Kwanta and Avenui Camp.

Bedzrah described the exercise as successful and thanked residents for their participation, noting the discussions provided an opportunity to hear their concerns and expectations. However, some constituents have raised questions about the selection of beneficiaries and the fairness of the distribution. Farmers stressed the need for transparent criteria and clear communication to ensure all eligible farmers could benefit from the support.
The MP’s outreach will continue to monitor the impact of the fertiliser distribution and address any concerns raised by the community.
