Hearts of Oak launched their 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season with a convincing 4‑0 win over Berekum Chelsea at the University of Ghana Stadium. The match saw the Phobians dominate from the first whistle, with former Dreams FC striker John Antwi finding the net on his debut.
Antwi opened the scoring five minutes in, slotting a close‑range finish past the Chelsea keeper to give Hearts the early advantage. Chelsea pushed for a response, but Antwi doubled the lead in the 37th minute, leaving the visitors without a chance to equalise.
After the break, Hearts pressed on for more goals. In the 86th minute, Abdul Kader Kourama added a third, and just three minutes later, Ali Mohammed converted a penalty to seal a comprehensive victory for the Accra side.
With the win, Hearts of Oak secured a perfect start to the season, leaving Berekum Chelsea to regroup as the league progresses.
