Hasaacas Ladies began the 2026/27 GoldFields Women’s Premier League with a 2-1 away win over Army Ladies at Mats Park in Teshie on Saturday, October 24.

The match followed Hasaacas’ 1-0 triumph over Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the Champion of Champions, with manager Raymond Fenny making a single change to the squad that had defeated the league winners the previous weekend.

Hasaacas dominated possession in the first 25 minutes but could not break Army’s backline until the 32nd minute, when a defensive error provided Comfort Owusu with an opportunity that Milot Pokuaa converted for the opening goal.

Goalkeeper Grace Banwaa made several saves to deny Army an equaliser, and Hasaacas entered the break with a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Army increased their pressure, creating numerous chances. Their dominant possession left gaps at the back, allowing Hasaacas to earn a penalty that Belinda Kpoglo converted in the 60th minute, doubling the away side’s advantage.

Shortly after the penalty, Army earned a spot‑kick of their own, which Zinatu Alhassan converted, narrowing the score to 2-1.

Milot Pokuaa almost restored a two‑goal cushion in a one‑on‑one, but the attempt failed. Hasaacas finished the match with all three points, marking their third victory over Army in their last three meetings.
