Egli Studios Launches Besties Camp to Empower Girls

Egli Studios kicked off its community initiative, Besties, with a 60‑hour residential summer camp from September 2 to 4. Twelve girls, including the four original hosts of the Best Girlfriends podcast, attended the three‑day event in a setting designed to mix entertainment with meaningful learning.

Founder Aggor Yorm, who also directed the camp, said the program marks the next step in the studio’s vision of creating a space where girls can see themselves, hear their voices reflected and feel they belong.

The schedule featured welcome activities, pottery workshops, a beading and fashion masterclass led by designer Kofi Akotua, cooking challenges, fitness sessions and outdoor games. A special session with former Miss Malaika Ghana winner Lady addressed menstrual hygiene, offering practical lessons on sanitary pad use.

Professional cameras recorded the experience, including diary‑room reflections, for a reality‑television programme that will air soon on Egli Studios’ YouTube channel.

Best Girlfriends began as a podcast where four young hosts discuss friendship, culture, dreams and personal development. It has since expanded into a multi‑platform phenomenon across television, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.

Egli Studios plans to broaden the Besties initiative, aiming to reach more girls in different regions and potentially launch year‑round programming beyond the summer experience.
