The Eastern Region secured a 54‑point victory over the Central Region in the latest round of the 2026 Literacy Challenge, earning a place in the next stage of the competition.

Representing the Eastern Region were Nuako Kwabena Adom Mireku, Nyamedom Appiakubi Appiah‑Aboagye and Stephanie Okyerewa Appawu‑Gyamfi, while the Central Region fielded Abigail Incoom, Lawrence Kwarteng Larbi and Julie‑Anne Oforiwaa Danquah.

The 18‑point margin of victory sends the Eastern Region forward, while the Central Region’s campaign in the 2026 Literacy Challenge ends here.

The event is organised by Channel One TV in partnership with Citi FM and sponsored by Deli, Tema Oil Refinery, SIC Insurance, Prospectus Ghana and Advocate Publishing.

With the win, the Eastern Region looks forward to competing against the remaining regions in the next phase, aiming to showcase the literacy skills of its participants on a national platform.
