Dr Ama Boohene‑Andah, a practicing medical doctor, has faced death in her profession for years, but the loss of her father five years ago reminded her how different grief can feel when a loved one is gone. She chose Lashibi Funeral Homes and Crematorium for his burial after weighing several providers, citing the company’s long‑standing reputation and responsiveness as key factors.
"No matter the time, Lashibi Funeral Homes and Crematorium answers," she said. "When someone passes late at night, they respond quickly and take care of the immediate arrangements. That gives the family time to process what has happened before dealing with the paperwork."
Dr Boohene‑Andah highlighted the team’s empathy, especially noting front‑desk staff Godfrey Dotsu and Georgina. "Georgina is patient and pleasant. Even when something cannot be done exactly as requested, she listens and helps you find the best way forward," she recalled.
She praised the integrated services—preservation, transportation, chapel, ushering and burial—allowing families to rely on a single provider during a difficult period. "The different teams work well together, and that makes the entire process easier for the family," she added.
As Lashibi celebrated 25 years of operation, Dr Boohene‑Andah credited the founders, leadership and every staff member, including those behind the scenes, for building a legacy of reliability, efficiency and empathy that gives families the support and space to honour their loved ones with dignity.
