The Guinness Ghana DJ Awards 2026 season officially kicked off in style on Saturday, August 1, at the Eden Gardens Hotel in Tesano, bringing together top disc jockeys, musicians, media figures, and entertainment stakeholders from across the country.
Taking center stage at the launch was WatsUp TV’s DJ Raya (Rita Adjei), who served as the official DJ for the event. Making a glam entrance in an elegant pink ensemble, the rising star turned heads on the red carpet, drawing immediate attention from photographers, videographers, and bloggers.
In red-carpet interviews, DJ Raya expressed her pride in representing female DJs at one of the country's most prominent music industry platforms.
"I am thrilled to be a part of such a prestigious event and to represent female DJs at the highest level," she shared, emphasizing her commitment to paving the way for women in turntablism.
