Dorothy’s Hope Foundation (DHF) will stage two high‑profile women’s health and breast‑cancer advocacy events in New York this fall. The Health is Wealth Forum is scheduled for 24 September 2026 from 11 am to 2 pm EST as a side event of the 81st United Nations General Assembly. The Brushes of Strength Fundraising Gala will follow on 23 October 2026 at 6 pm EST.
For more than a decade, DHF has championed breast‑cancer awareness in Ghana, collecting and analysing data from the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western and Volta regions to expose gaps in cancer care. The foundation has pushed for stronger health infrastructure, policy reform, better data systems and collaborative partnerships to create a more responsive, equitable cancer‑care system.
The September forum will bring together influential women leaders, health professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, creatives and diaspora figures from Africa, the United States and beyond. Under the theme “Empowering Women through Leadership and Global Impact,” participants will share best practices and forge strategic partnerships aimed at women’s health, economic empowerment and holistic well‑being.
At the October gala, DHF will honour breast‑cancer survivors and celebrate the resilience of those who have battled the disease. The black‑tie event will gather dignitaries, celebrated personalities, philanthropists and organisations to move beyond awareness and secure meaningful access, action and improved outcomes for patients.
DHF invites media organisations across Ghana, New York and the diaspora to amplify these conversations and extend the impact of its initiatives on both sides of the Atlantic.
