Dede Chancelor, CEO of Chancellor Productions Africa, attended the Spring/Summer 2027 Milan Fashion Week from 22 to 28 September. She secured a front‑row seat at the womenswear presentation by Ghanaian‑born designer Victor Reginald Bob Abbey‑Hart, the founder and creative director of VICTOR‑HART. The show, titled Denim Diplomacy, marked the label’s first entry into womenswear and explored history, identity, movement and cultural exchange through denim.
Chancelor’s presence drew media attention, with Reuters photographer Claudia Greco capturing her near the Dolce & Gabbana venue on 26 September. The image was featured in Reuters Connect’s street‑style coverage of the week.

Beyond the runway, she attended the opening of the CNMI Fashion Hub at Palazzo Morando, a platform for emerging designers, and viewed presentations by Prada, Fendi and Vietnamese designer Phan Dang Hoang. She also joined Voices in Denim, a Levi’s and Afro Fashion Association collaboration, meeting founder Michelle Francine Ngonmo and other creative professionals.
Speaking to the local press, Chancelor said, “Fashion is more than what we wear; it is a statement of identity, culture and creativity. Being at Milan Fashion Week was an exciting opportunity to experience the industry on a global scale, connect with creative minds and witness how designers use fashion to tell stories and bridge cultures.” She added, “It was particularly special to see a Ghanaian‑born designer like Victor‑Hart presenting his work on such an international platform.”

After Milan, Chancelor briefly visited Monaco during the Yacht Show week, where she viewed an exhibition by Italian artist Alex Righetto at Art & Luxury Monaco 2026.
Her trip underscored the intersection of media, fashion heritage and contemporary design, offering a platform for established luxury houses and emerging voices to share a global stage.
