A fire broke out on Monday, October 19, in the Cable and Wireless area of Darkuman, Accra, destroying several container structures, including a mechanic shop and welding shops, and five vehicles.
Firefighters from the Makola and Dansoman stations responded to the scene, battling the blaze before it could spread further.
Assistant Divisional Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service, Alex King Nartey, posted on Facebook that multiple container structures and other properties were affected, but the cause and full extent of the damage have not yet been disclosed.
