CLOGSAG Urges Members to Ignore Disputed Appointments Pending Court Ruling

Acting President Benjamin Otoo of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has instructed regional and district executives to disregard any purported appointments that are currently under judicial review.

The directive, issued on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, comes after the High Court set a date to resolve the dispute over the appointments’ validity.

"Accordingly, all Regional Executives, District Executives and members are urged to disregard and refrain from implementing any notices, directives or administrative actions arising from the purported appointments until the Court has pronounced on the matter," the statement read.

Mr Otoo added that the appointments should not be recognised or acted upon until the court determines the matter, urging members to remain calm and law‑abiding while respecting the judicial process.

He said his office remains committed to protecting the institutional integrity, property and collective interests of CLOGSAG and called on all stakeholders to exercise restraint as the legal process unfolds.

"Let the court determine the matter," Mr Otoo said.
