Ghanaian identity and behavioural speaker, author and entrepreneur Cliff Cheqona announced that his TP Masterclass will be staged in Nigeria next year, with events scheduled for Lagos and Abuja in 2027. The masterclass, which began as a trading platform, has evolved to cover personal development, emotional intelligence, leadership, identity and purpose.
Cheqona, who has been trading since 2012, explained that mentoring traders over the years revealed that trading knowledge alone does not always dictate performance. He said the key factors are fear, discipline, self‑perception, emotional intelligence and people’s relationship with money, especially under pressure. “Once you start transforming the person, trading becomes too small a container,” he said.
He is also the author of You Are Not a Trader Yet, a book that explores the personal factors affecting a trader’s journey. The TP Masterclass has produced more than 81 episodes and has held physical events in Ghana and Dubai. Its sessions have touched on relationships, faith, healing, belief systems, purpose, money and leadership.
For Cheqona, the shift reflects a desire to help people look beyond professional ambitions and focus on the personal qualities that shape decisions and relationships. “God has given me a mandate: to transform minds and raise Kingdom‑aligned leaders,” he said.
The Nigeria edition will be the next step in extending these conversations beyond Ghana. Cheqona said his vision is to see more Africans develop self‑awareness, discipline, character and leadership alongside financial and professional growth. While the masterclass still draws from his trading experience, its discussions now cover a wider range of issues affecting personal and professional lives.
The TP Masterclass airs live every Saturday at 6pm UK time on Cheqona’s YouTube channel, and the upcoming Nigerian events are expected to attract participants from across the continent.
