Ghana’s U17 women’s national team, the Black Maidens, face Brazil in their second group match of the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup. The game, scheduled for 18:00 GMT on Wednesday, October 21, follows a 3‑0 defeat to Norway in the opening fixture.

Brazil top Group C after beating Canada in the other group game over the weekend. With only one win or a draw against the South Americans offering a path to the knockout stages, head coach Nana Joe Adarkwa has made the objective clear: “We have to win at all costs.” He added that a draw would also be acceptable to keep options open for the final group match against Canada on Saturday, October 24.

Adarkwa warned that the match would be tough, describing Brazil as a formidable opponent, but expressed confidence in his squad’s readiness. “The girls are ready,” he said, emphasizing the importance of securing a result to maintain a clear route forward.

Ghana will travel to the venue at 18:00 GMT on Wednesday, October 21, before returning to face Canada in their final group encounter on Saturday, October 24.
