Ashaiman Police Demolish Suspected Criminal Hideouts at Fitter‑Line

The Ashaiman District Police Command demolished structures identified as suspected criminal hideouts at Fitter‑Line on Saturday, October 17, in a move to curb crime before the Christmas season.

The operation began at about 6:40 a.m. and was commanded by DSP Orlando Joseph Adzokpa. Thirty police officers carried out the sweep, targeting alleged criminals who had been terrorising residents in and around Ashaiman.

When the police team approached, the suspects fled, leaving no arrests. The officers proceeded to demolish the buildings identified as hideouts.

The exercise ended at roughly 8:40 a.m. without incident. Police said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to improve public safety and allow residents to conduct legitimate businesses without fear before, during and after the Christmas festivities.
