Frank Annoh‑Dompreh, the Minority Chief Whip and MP for Nsawam‑Adoagyiri, received two awards at the third International Conference on ESG and Sustainable Development of Africa (ICESDA). The Green Societal Impact and Sustainability Ambassadorial Award and the ICESDA Green Capital Partnership Award recognised his advocacy for environmental sustainability and his efforts to advance green legislation in Parliament.

The conference, themed “The Africa We Want: Driving Transformational Inclusive Green Growth Through ESG and Digitalisation,” brought together stakeholders to discuss how ESG principles and digital technologies can support Africa’s development. Presenters highlighted Annoh‑Dompreh’s work in bringing community‑level environmental concerns to the national stage and stressing the need for lawmakers to consider environmental evidence when debating and passing legislation.
Both awards underscored the role of legislators in linking local environmental challenges to national policy. Annoh‑Dompreh’s recognition signals a growing focus on inclusive green growth and the importance of collaboration among policymakers, businesses and civil society organisations to balance economic development with environmental protection.

The MP’s achievements will be cited as a model for other lawmakers seeking to integrate sustainability into their legislative agendas.
