On Children’s Day, Allround Baby Pants marked its first Baby Care Lecture at the child welfare clinic of Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) in Accra. The session, themed “Celebrating a Baby’s First Children’s Day,” brought together mothers, doctors, nurses, brand ambassadors and media for practical parenting guidance.
The event also served as the official launch of the Allround Scientific Parenting Academy, a long‑term initiative that will pair mothers with health professionals for face‑to‑face conversations about baby care across Ghana. The academy will run regularly at Ridge Hospital and will soon expand to Maamobi Hospital, 37 Military Hospital, Korle‑Bu Teaching Hospital and hospitals in Kumasi, with plans to cover all major hospitals nationwide.
Speaking at the launch, Abigail Ankomah, Head of Marketing for Allround Baby Pants, said the brand’s mission goes beyond making pull‑up pants. “Allround is not asking to be one more voice added to the noise,” she said. “We are asking to be the one that stays – the one that shows up at your hospital, that sits with your doctors, that keeps building products around what your baby actually needs at every stage.” She added that Ghanaian mothers lack trustworthy guidance and that the academy would help them understand what is best for their babies under expert guidance.
Dr. Leslie Issah Adam‑Zakariah, Director of Ridge Hospital, welcomed the partnership. “Partnering with Allround on the Allround Scientific Parenting Academy allows us to extend that guidance beyond our wards, into the everyday realities of raising a child,” he said. He confirmed that hospital management will support the academy’s smooth running.
The 30‑minute panel discussion was led by a doctor and an Allround product expert, with two mothers sharing real‑life challenges such as skin irritation, diaper leaks and wriggling babies. The doctor offered evidence‑based advice, while the product expert demonstrated how Allround Pants’ 360° fit and tear‑resistant waistband address everyday struggles. Quality Control Officer Portia Gyamea also spoke on maternal health and infant care.
Mothers participated in interactive segments, including a baby‑care demonstration and a diaper‑change challenge. Allround encourages mothers nationwide to join these lectures, believing every baby deserves the best start and every mother deserves the knowledge and support to make that possible.
