Accra Academy has qualified for the National Science and Maths Quiz Grand Finale for the first time in its history after a decisive 54‑point win in the semi‑final held on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
The “Bleoo” boys edged out Bright Senior High School, which scored 44 points, and Achimota School, which managed 43 points, in a tightly contested match that showcased sharp knowledge and quick thinking across all rounds.
Despite a spirited challenge from both opponents, Accra Academy pulled away in the final stages to secure the top spot and book its place in the ultimate contest, joining St. Augustine’s and PRESEC in the Grand Finale.
The historic qualification has sparked celebrations among students, alumni and supporters, who hailed the achievement as a major moment in the school’s NSMQ history.
Accra Academy will now prepare to compete for the 2026 NSMQ championship in the Grand Finale, where the winner will be crowned.
