Rev. Dr Kweku Addo, the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, declared that two mobile clinics will start services in Opetekwe and Glefe in the coming weeks, following the opening of the new Ablekuma West Polyclinic.
Speaking at the commissioning and handover ceremony of the polyclinic at Gbegbeyise on Wednesday, October 7, the MP said the mobile units would enhance healthcare access for residents across the constituency.
"There is one coming up at Opetekwe, another one at Glefe, which will be commencing in the next couple of weeks," Addo told the crowd.
The MP also revealed that millions of cedis had been spent to equip the polyclinic, which had been an empty building when the current government took office in January 2025.
He assured residents that all unfinished projects in Ablekuma West would be completed, including the maternity home at Kit Kat, which began under the previous administration.
Addo urged community members to take ownership of the facility and appealed to the Ghana Health Service to prioritize qualified locals for auxiliary positions at the polyclinic.
As the new polyclinic becomes operational, the mobile clinics are expected to bring essential medical services closer to the people of Opetekwe and Glefe.
