Ghanaian songstress Abenah, born Cecilia Cobbah Osei, was announced as the winner of Chef Abbys’ jingle challenge for the upcoming Big Street Feast. The contest, launched on the chef’s social media, asked entrants to craft a jingle that included the line “Wherever you are, street food will find you.”
Initially hesitant, Abenah was persuaded by friends and her sister to enter. After composing the jingle, she finally posted it and was declared the winner a few days later.
Speaking to the outlet, the artist admitted she had been on the brink of quitting music by year‑end, after years of striving for recognition without success. “I was almost giving up on music,” she said.
The jingle’s viral spread on social media brought praise for her vocal talent and songwriting, sparking questions about her previous absence from the industry. Abenah clarified that she had been working behind the scenes, writing and seeking her footing in a competitive field.
She expressed renewed hope and determination, stating the jingle is just the start of her musical journey. “I am here to stay,” she affirmed, outlining plans to release new projects and continue building her career as a recording artist.
The Big Street Feast will take place on October 16, 2026, in Accra and Kumasi, where the jingle will feature prominently.
