Election Petition Verdict: Supreme Court Failed To Remove The ‘Illegitimacy’ Tag On Akufo-Addo’s Presidency -HRH Oscar Doe

HRH Oscar Yao Doe has said that the Supreme Court failed in his duty to protect the integrity of elections in Ghana following its dismissal of the petition of Mr John Mahama and the NDC against the declared victory of President Nana Akufo-Addo after last December’s general elections. The frontline business mogul and opinion leader was reacting to yesterday’s dismissal of the petition by tge apex court for lacking merit. He said the court’s decision didn’t address the major public concern about the vivid allegation of rigging by the EC Chair, Jean Mensa to favour Candidate Akufo Addo at the polls.

In a public statement this morning, HRH Doe queried why the EC boss was aided by the court to evade giving personal account of all the rigging allegations presented in the petition. He also said that the court conducted its proceedings in a glaring way that made the verdict predictable to majority of Ghanaians even before yesterday. He however said that despite the “predictable ruling by tge apex court, Election 2020  remains a rigged election (both Presidential And Parliamentary), and that the current NPP administration will continue to carry and suffer the illegitimacy TAG untill the god’s of the land react”. “(The) Supreme Court Has Failed To Protect Ghana’s Election Integrity. The Court Also Failed To Address The Most Important Issue; Which Of The Electoral Commission Figures Did They Upheld? Which Percent? Which Of The Percentage Has The Court Acknowledged For Declaration Of President?
If You Say “Dismissed Without Merit” Then Your Dismissal Also Failed Accountability Test” Is The Supreme Court Saying After Spending Taxpayers Money 1.2 Billion Ghs For Ghana Card, Over $200 Million US Dollars For New Voter Registration And 1.5 Billion Ghana Cedis For General Election The Public Cannot Demand Accountability For Such Public Funds? Why The EC Chair Was Aided To  Evade Accountability Through The Court Proceedings? It’s Her Constitutional Duty?

It’s Unfortunate To Withnes (That) Such Important Proceedings Was Done In An Obvious Manner Which Led Majority Of The Ghanaian Public To Predict The Outcome In Advance As If They Are Calculating 1+1. Without Any Doubt History Will Consider The Just Ended Election Petition Hearing And Proceedings As A Big Disgrace,And Perhaps An Insults To The Public Funds That Were Used To Undertake The Election Itself. Again History Will Judge Proceedings As The Poorest Court Hearing Ever Since Ghana’s Independence From 1957.
Predictable Outcomes Cannot “Endure The Test Of Time”. The Supreme Court Has Failed To Removed “Illegitimacy Tag” On The Akufo Addo’s Presidency And It’s Rather Unfortunate To Upheld Daylight Election Rigging” In Such A Manner As If It’s Business As Usual.
Conclusion: The Supreme Court Decision Didn’t Address Public Concern For Election 2020 Rigging By EC Chair Jean Mensa To Favour Candidate Akufo Addo. Despite The Predictable Court Ruling Election 2020 Still Remained”Rigged Election” Both Presidential And Parliamentary. Current NPP Administration Will Continue To Carry And Suffer Illegitimacy TAG Untill The god’s Of The Land React. The Judiciary Is Failing To Deliver “JUSTICE” As We Speak There Are Still Many Outstanding And Dubious Parliamentary Election Disputes Pending And The Beneficiaries Are Still Carrying Themselves As MP’s. Ghana Is No Longer A Save Country.

Dismissed Without Merit? What Percentage?”
